Travel Tips: Getting to Alaska Ports-of-Call

Your Arrival:

You should plan on meeting us at the WANDERBIRD between 6 and 9 PM on the evening before your cruise departure date. You may stay aboard the WANDERBIRD, as our guest the night before your cruise departs, but plan on finding dinner in town at a local restaurant. (We have a list of recommendations below). The first meal we serve aboard will be breakfast on the morning of departure. We will serve cold drinks, tea & coffee that evening and you may want to explore the colourful and friendly port town, and pick up a few last minute items.

Juneau has a vibrant urban feel with great dining, shopping and lodging, while being surrounded by jaw-dropping scenic vistas. A visit to Juneau delivers tastes that delight the senses. From Alaska salmon, halibut and crab to sourdough bagels, homemade fudge, and award-winning coffee and beer, Juneau can satisfy even the most discriminating palate.
